More Summer Reading?

Okay, I have another book suggestion.

For the record – I’ve never seen an episode of 30 Rock and I can never stay up late enough for SNL.  All I knew when I picked up this book was that Tina Fey is supposedly pretty funny.

I now know this….Tina Fey isn’t funny….she’s HI-LAR-IOUS.

Also, I’ve been called bossy many times in my life – so I think she and I would get along very well :)

I’ve been thinking Nautiemermate may need a little book club…..do any of you have any reading suggestions?

  1. Hello Megan!
You don’t know me, but I got your website from your dad. I met you a couple of times when you were about 3 years old! Your dad and I are old friends from WAY before he met your mom. Anyway, I am enjoying reading your blog so much! Keep it up! You are amazing!

    • Marilyn! You’re wrong – I do remember you!
Welcome to the blog! Glad to have another Mer-Person to add to the ranks :)

  2. Awwww… lol… I have no idea how you could remember me, but I’m flattered! I am loving reading all your wonderful and cute comments, and seeing your fabulous pictures. It’s almost like being there. Thanks for your warm welcome and bon voyage (better late than never).
    :)

  3. Reading suggestions? You’re asking for Reading Suggestions? How much time do you have? How many characters can I use in this reply? Here’s your first one: Anything by Louse Penny – mysteries set near Quebec.(Chief Inspector Gamache) They make me want to live there. I LOVE the setting.
Any books written by Carl Hiassen – funny, funny books set in Florida – a must read.
My all-time favorite, “My Family and Other Animals” by Gerald Durrell. I laugh at this everytime I read it.
I’m going to go get “Bossypants” now. Love you!

  4. Megan,
I don’t know your taste in reading… if you love cats as I do, you would really enjoy a book I just read called “Homer’s Odyssey”. It’s about a blind cat (both eyes removed when a kitten because of disease) whose “owner” happens to be a professional writer. Very inspiring, very funny book about the true-adventures of Homer. Homer even saved her from a nighttime intruder! What kinds of books do you enjoy?
    Marilyn
